Joe, a 104-year-old war veteran at Westy Hall, was honoured to commemorate the Remembrance Day with the Mayor of Warrington. Joe served the Royal Artillery, fondly known as “Gunner”.
He was invited to meet the Mayor before the Sunday morning remembrance service at the cenotaph in Warrington where he stood proudly alongside the comrades. He not only participated in the parade but also showcased his unwavering respect for fallen soldiers standing through the entire service. In a heartwarming gesture, soldiers from the military are set to visit Joe at Westy Hall later this week.
We are privileged to provide care for such an incredible man and listen to the invaluable stories he shares.
