Residents at Cheaney Court were surprised by therapy penguins from the Heythrop Zoological Centre for a day of pure joy.
It was incredibly moving to see the excitement on our residents’ faces as they got up close to these charming birds, sparking plenty of laughter and nostalgic stories about trips to the seaside.
Animal therapy is such a vital part of life in our home, helping to boost emotional well-being and create meaningful connections. This unique experience was a beautiful way to honour our former resident, Helen’s memory, bringing our residents, families, and staff together for a day we won’t forget.
