Resident of the Week

Meet Ann, our lovely 100-year-old resident at Littleport Grange Care Home in Cambridgeshire. Originally from Aberdare in South Wales, Ann is a shining example that age is just a number. A lifelong lover of dance, Ann left home at the age of 22 and followed her passion. Today, she’s still bursting with energy and joy, always eager to join in with the vibrant activities we host at the home. From clay workshops to craft sessions, days out, floral arrangements, and lively games, Ann truly embraces every moment — and inspires everyone around her to do the same.
Ann represents the spirit we celebrate at Minster Care Group

“Life is what you make it. If you're married, you got to make it happy both ways”

Ann's words of motivation for us.

Golf at Ely Driving Range

Rediscovering Passions

Thanks to the creativity of our Activities Team, particularly Linda, we’ve introduced fortnightly trips to the Golf on Par Driving Range in Ely.

This began with a quiet conversation between Linda and a resident who hadn’t left their room in some time – and ended in the rediscovery of a forgotten passion. Now, it’s a popular activity, and families couldn’t be more delighted with the renewed energy and smiles.

Community, Comfort & Connection

What began as a quiet lunch out for just four residents has grown into one of our most cherished monthly events. The Lunch Club at the local Ex-Servicemen’s Club now welcomes up to 24 attendees, making it a true celebration of companionship, good food, and community connection.

A newer tradition, and fast becoming a favourite, our Roast Dinner Club takes place each month at a charming pub just five minutes away. It was originally designed for residents with limited mobility, offering them a chance to dine out in comfort.

But now? It’s an outing loved by all.

With delicious home-style meals, warm hospitality, and the joy of being together, this club has become a cozy ritual that everyone looks forward to.

A Remarkable Milestone

Celebrating 100 Years of Joy with Ann

Kathleen’s centenary celebration was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Family travelled from near and far to be by her side, while others across the world joined via a special video call from America.

One of the most cherished highlights was a congratulatory card from His Majesty The King, a touching tribute to a remarkable life.

Kathleen’s warmth, wisdom, and kind spirit have made her a cherished part of the Littleport Grange family. Her 100th birthday wasn’t just a celebration of age, but a celebration of the love, legacy, and joy she’s brought to so many over the years.

Team Member Shout-Out

From Coach to Care Leader - Meet Diana

The spotlight is on the incredible Diana, who has become an integral part of the Littleport Grange family.
Diana joined us during lockdown, bringing a whole new energy to the team. Formerly a Level 3 Gymnastics Coach, Diana made the transition into care and what a difference she’s made ever since. With her deep knowledge of movement and wellbeing, Diana introduced ‘Group Exercise with Diana’ – a weekly resident favourite that keeps everyone moving and smiling. These sessions have become a true highlight on the activities calendar.
Her journey didn’t stop there. Diana progressed to the Keyworker Team and has recently been promoted to Head of the Keyworker Department – a role she excels in with heart and dedication. Diana is known for her strong relationships with residents, staff, and families alike, always placing the well-being of others at the centre of all she does.
Thank you, Diana, for all that you do
