Leycester House is situated in the sought after location of the village of Mobberley, offering dementia, residential, respite and palliative care for the community.
At Minster Care Group, our purpose is simple: to deliver person-tailored care that feels personal, secure and truly uplifting for every resident and their family.
Spotlighting our care homes allows us to highlight the people and the joyful moments they share.
The smiles and happy faces of our residents are an invaluable reward for our hard-working staff, and our personalised events and activities ensure that this cheerful energy is maintained forever.
Our Beloved staff and resident
After an incredible 25 years of dedication, we say a very fond farewell to our wonderful Jennifer as she begins her well-deserved retirement.
Jenny has truly been the heart of Leycester House Care Home in Mobberley, supporting residents and the team across multiple roles, from Care Team Leader to Domestic Assistant. Her “can-do” attitude, kindness, and commitment have made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
From dressing up as a Smurf for fundraising events to giving her time on days off to support summer fairs, Jenny has always gone above and beyond for our residents and community.
She has built meaningful relationships with residents over the years, providing compassionate, person-centred care that will never be forgotten. While we will miss her dearly, we are so happy she now has more time to enjoy bowling and special moments with her family.
Thank you, Jenny, you will always be part of the Leycester House family.
Jenny's retirement post
Harold is our beloved 105 years young resident.
Harold has led a life full of fascinating stories, from serving as a wireless operator for the RAF in India during the war to his long career in African prints. He shared a beautiful 77 years of marriage with his late wife, Marian, and together they spent many happy years birdwatching and being active members of the Wilmslow Natural History Society.
A lifelong Stockport County supporter, Harold believes that a bit of luck is the secret to a long and healthy life. We feel incredibly lucky to have him with us at Leycester House.

Exciting activities
At Leycester House there is always something exciting, something thoughtful that our residents are engaged in. Sometimes we have Zoo Lab visits with their crawling friends to meet our residents, whereas sometimes our residents are busy in a reflective activity creating a heartfelt “Tree Of Thanks” and a simple game of Snakes and Ladder can bring so much joy and laughter in our lounges.
Creating these thoughtful activities carefully tailored for our residents and having a successful laugh every-time reminds us how important personalised care is.
What our clients are saying
"Mum has been a resident at Leycester House since June/July and has settled in well and is very well looked after. All the staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. They have helped with medical appointments and prep and have also really helped when mum has been distressed due to ongoing health issues. I cannot fault the place or the staff. We're very lucky to have found this care home for mum."
