Here is the second event of the initiative ‘Come Dine with Roseway House’ led by Dawn Lyon, the Lifestyle Activities Coordinator at Roseway House. Inspired by the popular TV series, Dawn started this initiative, where residents visit other care homes to dine together. Her thoughtful initiative is to encourage new friendships, bonding, and community involvement.
In this second event of the initiative, the Roseway House team hosted the residents from Stapleton House and Palmers Dene for a magical evening. The theme of the night was ‘007 Bond – Dress to Impress’. The evening commenced with a gourmet feast, with scotch egg and black pudding starter, followed by the exquisite ‘Marry Me Chicken’ served with sauté potatoes. To end the evening on a sweet note, guests indulged in ginger cake with ice cream and rhubarb coulis encased in a caramel dome. Shirley brightened up the ambience with her singing.
The ‘Come Dine with Me’ is a big success, emphasizing the importance of community, connection, and shared moments of happiness.
