Saffron House is a purpose-built residential home, situated in the village of Barwell in Leicester, which has a good local bus service to Leicester/Nuneaton/Coventry. The village also benefits from a local supermarket, community centre and several local pubs. Saffron House is purpose built comprising of 47 single en-suite rooms over two floors; each room comes furnished and with T.V and phone point, own furniture can be used in individuals rooms once discussed with me to ensure they are safe to use, while at Saffron House staff can arrange for doctors, nurses, opticians, chiropodist, hairdressers etc to visit whether this is the service users own or the ones used at Saffron House.
All Saffron House staff are fully trained to ensure the safety of service users at all times, our menu is comprehensive and has been checked by the local dietician. The chefs are happy to prepare alternatives if service users require this, regular quality surveys are sent out to service users/next-of- kin’s to ensure the highest standards are met, but anyone is welcome to come and speak to us with any ideas or concerns, we run an open door policy and with notice can arrange to be in the building to suit peoples busy life’s.
We at Saffron pride ourselves on the activities we offer for all service users and have a full time activities coordinator who is NAPA registered, activities range from one-to-ones, group activities, local outings, entertainers coming into the home twice a month, our activities are planned to help stimulate service users and family involvement is always encouraged and all ideas are welcome.
All the staff at Saffron House work hard to ensure that anyone staying with us will have their needs met, we are a home from home and nothing is too much trouble.
