Twenty-four hour care is delivered by care staff experienced and trained in the care of the elderly and people with dementia. Our training and development packages ensure that all staff skills and practices remain relevant and up to date. Prior to admission to Grays Court, an assessment is undertaken by a member of the care team to ensure that we are able to meet the needs of the individual. Once it’s agreed that we can meet the needs, a care plan is drawn up which addresses a resident's holistic needs. Care plans are reviewed regularly to ensure that the person's changing needs are met. We aim to provide our residents with an active life as their circumstances permit, to ensure a good quality of life is achieved but are very much based on an individual person’s choice and interests. We have a dedicated Activity Coordinators who arrange individualised activities on a regular basis. These include arts and crafts, quizzes, cookery, gardening, and trips out, coffee morning, fetes and visiting entertainers.
Grays Court Care Home was built in 1998. The home is purpose built with a central courtyard, fountain and sheltered seating areas. The home provides services that cater for older people who require residential or dementia care. A safe, comfortable & relaxing environment is offered and we provide care that is of the highest standard that is tailored to meet individual needs, wishes and choice.
We offer a range of facilities and activities to help people increase their independence. A person-centred approach is adopted for all our residents. This facilitates a purpose for the residents’ days, and in turn increases their self worth and self esteem which enriches not only their lives, but that of their families and friends.
