Ingersley Court is a purpose-built home set in the rural town of Bollington. It is situated in a quiet residential area and boasts picturesque views including the local landmark, ‘White Nancy’. It is close to the parish church, several pubs, the bus stop and local shops. The home has a good proportion of premium rooms with both en suite and kitchen facilities. As well as the care home services, Ingersley Court also has some attached accommodation for older people consisting of eight self-contained one bedroom flats over two floors. These flats are available on a rental basis.
Ingersley Court has 32 single rooms, including 19 with en-suite facilities. There is also one double bedroom. All rooms have television points and 13 have a telephone line. There are a number of pleasant lounge areas and dining rooms throughout the home. One of the lounges is fitted with a hearing loop, a discreet device to improve sound reception and aid those with hearing difficulties. There are pleasant, wheelchair accessible gardens and a patio area to the rear of the home with tables and chairs. There is also a lovely roof garden which is easily accessed from the first floor, with beautiful views of White Nancy and the local area.
Additional services available to residents include a hairdresser who visits twice a week and newspaper and magazine deliveries, which are arranged through a local newsagent. These are charged on a weekly basis as used. There is also a shop trolley service for items such as greetings cards, toiletries, drinks and confectionery.
Activities at Ingersley Court are organised by the activity co-ordinator with the involvement of the care teams. These are designed to match residents’ interests and include a range of activities, such as hand massage and manicure, arts and crafts, bingo, dominoes, one to one relaxation, reminiscence, quizzes, boat trips on the Macclesfield Canal, coffee mornings, sing-a-longs, karaoke, visiting singers/organists, tombola’s, clothes parties and birthday parties. There is also a resident photo library and a resident’s computer which can be used for internet surfing or sending family emails.
Ingersley Court operates a Marvellous Mealtimes initiative, making meal times a relaxed and enjoyable part of the day. We offer a variety of menu choices ensuring a balanced diet and catering for special dietary requirements.
All religious denominations are recognised and links are maintained with the local churches. Regular church services and Communion are held within the home. The Methodist Church attends the home every third Thursday of each month. Church of England Communion Services are held on the first Thursday of each month and the Roman Catholic priest visits every Tuesday.
Ingersley Court is within easy reach of Ingersley Vale duck pond and the home enjoys tremendous views of the local landmark, White Nancy. There are a number of traditional public houses that serve home cooked food close by. Bollington is a delightful area for walking with family and friends. The village also has a number of attractions and facilities including the Bollington Discovery Centre, the Drop-in Centre, an arts centre and Bollington well dressing.
