My name is Janice Knock; I have worked at Duncote Hall since 1987 and worked as the Registered Manager at Duncote since 2007 before transferring over to the Lakes in November 2016.
The Lakes has been built in the same grounds as Duncote Hall, and has been purpose built for Residential clients with Dementia. The home offers facilities to enable residents to be cared for but at the same time maintain their independence.
All bedrooms have en-suite shower facilities and enjoy peace and tranquillity whilst enjoying the views of the gardens. At the Lakes the home is divided into two floors both floors have their own facilities and are staffed separately.
We offer a wide choice of menus to cater for all tastes. Residents are able to take their meals where they wish and are assisted by our hostess with choice if needed.
The communal rooms are light and spacious and overlook well-kept gardens which residents are able to enjoy in the good weather.
I am dedicated along with my very enthusiastic team of care staff to ensure that good quality of care is given at all times. All care staff have received the relevant training to ensure these standards are maintained at all times.
A person centred approach has been adopted for all our residents and relatives to have an input into the service delivered. This enables us to facilitate a purpose for the residents day to day living and in turn increase the residents self-worth and self-esteem which not only enriches not only enriches their lives, but that of their friends and family.
We welcome visitors into the home to join in our residents in their daily lives.
Please help us to make our home your home by joining in with us.
