There are a number of pleasant lounge areas and dining rooms around the building. One of the lounges is fitted with a hearing loop, a discreet device to improve sound reception and aid those with hearing difficulties. There are lovely gardens, a patio and greenhouse. There is also a hairdressing salon which is used by the visiting hairdresser.
Additional services available to residents include a hairdresser who visits weekly, and newspaper and magazine deliveries which are arranged through a local newsagent. These are charged on a weekly basis as used.
Activities are arranged by the home’s activities co-ordinator with the involvement of residents, and are designed to match their interests. Activities currently taking place within the home include entertainers, music for health, and regular use of the hobbies room, which has painting facilities, board games, a piano, a computer designated for residents’ use and a web cam. Trips into Nantwich also take place regularly, and excursions further afield on a more occasional basis. Residents also enjoy use of the home’s gardens, and enjoy sitting at the front watching passers-by.
